Dublin, Ireland - 28th April, 2005 - Newgrange Pictures launches a new independent film company bringing together a unique form of proven experience in production, finance and distribution.
Established in Feburary 2005, the company will produce distinctive and innovative commercial films for the international market as well as developing exciting material from emerging and proven filmmaking talent. The team includes producers Jackie Larkin, Stuart Switzer & Linda Cullen, financier Dómhnal Slattery and distributor Paul Higgins.
The company is developing three features films slated for production in 2005 and 2006 including "The Kerry Babies" a factual drama by Gerry Stembridge, "Stella Days" a period drama by Antoine O'Flatharta and a thriller "Two Wrongs" by the writing team Rachael Moriarty & Peter Murphy.
On announcement of the launch, Mr. Paul Higgins, Chair, said "Newgrange Pictures have a fresh approach to financing films.
